A + B (racemic mixture of alcohols) + C (pure optically active
carboxylic acid) give P + Q (product mixture), then
P and Q are enantiomers,diastereomers or optically inactive​

If a racemic mixture of carbooxylic acid is treated with a dextro rotatory amino acid then product formed are a pair of diastereomer ,which are sparable.
