My granddaughter was born at 34 weeks gestation.She was 5 pounds 3 oz at birth.. she had a small hole not yet closed in her heart but this was finished closing at six weeks after birth. She is now eight soon to be nine. She is extremely Matt and has a lovely person. She is 4 1/2 feet tall.

I think babies who are born early can die if there are other issues beyond their small size.

Babies born at 35 weeks are healthy just small if the mother has had good prenatal care, and consumed a healthy diet to support the health of her child.
