A bad experience which taught something valuable essay

I was very stupid just 2 years ago and was eager to get in a relationship with a girl whom I knew from 9th standard and we used to talk a lot via SMS and WhatsApp. I used to deliberately go the same route which she used to take for reaching her destination every day just to talk to her(without even thinking once that whether she was comfortable with that) and the day came when I proposed to her and she didn’t answer but how stupid I was to take that as a YES. So, it was a Hell Yeah! moment for me because suddenly I thought that I had achieved something BIG! (Stupid me!).

So like a stupid kid I used to talk about love and being together forever with her all along without thinking once that actually she hadn’t given any answer to my proposal and actually it was a one-sided one and also a forced one because she doesn’t display her emotions just to make sure that the other guy doesn’t get offended (which I really wished she didn’t think at that time and told me the truth then and there!). then the day came (after a month) and she sent me a long WhatsApp message about the breakup and I was like “WTF! just happened?”. I didn’t reply to this message and deleted all our conversations and was depressed for a week or so. But then I thought to look up on the net about how to recover from such a situation (which now seems stupid to me because it wasn’t a really big thing to get depressed) and then I thought about how I had forced this relationship and it was so foolish of me to every-time meeting her on her way without informing her before. I was very angry at myself because it was me who was solely responsible for this and it was on me to lift myself up.

This incident taught me a lot:

1. Having a relationship or a girlfriend should never be an objective because it's a gradual process and will happen for sure when the time comes.

2. Always think twice before you do or say anything especially when it's not only you who is going to get affected by it.

3. If you fail in a relationship and feel depressed just remember this quote from the movie “The Bridge of Spies” by Stephen Spielberg.

Hope so this may help you
