A bag contain 15 white and 10 black balls. A ball is randomly picked up from the bag. Find the probability of getting a black ball

am3107: total number of outcome = 15+10=25. no of black ball is = 10. probability of getting black ball is = no of blak ball/ total no of ball p(black ball) = 10/ 25 =2/5

Answer:

total outcome= 15+10

                       =25

Favourable outcome= 10

sample space=black ball

p(e)=F.O./T.O.

     = 10/25

Ans= 2/5

Number of balls n(s) = 15+10=25
let E be the probality of getting black ball n(e)=10

therefore probality of getting black ball
P(E) =n(e)
____
n(s)
= 10
-----
25

=2
----
5
