Here's the solution...
Let the number of 1rupee, 50p and 25p be 5x,6x and 8x respectively.
:. Total amount of 1rupee =rs 5x
:. Total amount of 50paise=rs (50×6x)/100=rs3x
:. Total amount of 25paise=rs (25×8x)/100=rs2x
:.Total amount =2x+3x+5x
=>420=10x
=> x=420/10
=42
:. no. of 1rupee =5x= 5×42= 210
:. no. of 50p=6x=6×42=252
:. no. of 25p =8x=8×42= 336
:. total number of coins=210+252+336
=798
