A bag contain 25 paise ,50 paise and 71 coins in the ratio of 2:3:5 and it amounts to ₹385 find the number of coins of each type

let no. of50p coins be x and 25p coins be y then we have,

x+y=94........1

now their total value is 29.75 i.e 2975p

no. of 50 paise coins = x

no. of 25 paise coins = y

so 50x +25y =2975

25(2x+y)=2975

2x+y=119..........2

subtractin 1 from 2 we get .....

x=25

so y =94 - x = 69

ans-no. of 50 p coins is 25 and 25 p coins is 69
