Answer:

3:7

since the bag contains 5 kg rice... convert it into gms. So 5kg= 5000gms

Amount left in the bag= 5000-1500

= 3500 gms

the ratio:- 1500:3500

= 3:7

Given: -

  • A bag contains 5kg of rice .
  • 1500 gm is taken out.

To find:-

  • The ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag.

Solution:-

We need to convert kilograms to grams to proceed further.

We know :

----------------------

❥ 1 kg = 1000 g.

-----------------------

5 kg = 5 × 1000= 5000 g

Given that Amount of Rice taken out for cooking= 1500 g

=> Amount left in the bag = rice in the bag - Rice taken out for cooking

=>  5000 -1500= 3500 g

Ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag :-

=> 1500:3500

=>  15:35= 3:7

Ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag= 3: 7
