ATQ. x+y=72----------(i)

5x+y=232-----------(ii)

Subtracting both equations, we get.

-4x=-160

4x=160

x=40

putting value of x in eq. i

x+y=72

40+y=72

y=72-40

y=32

so,number of 5 rupees coin is 40 and number of 1 rupee coin is 32.
