let the number of Rs 5 coins be x
number of Rs 2 coins become 15/100×x
total amount of Rs 5 coins=5×x=5x
total amount of Rs 2 coin =3/10×x=3x/10
total amount=Rs1272
1272=5x+3x/10
1272=50x/10+3x/10
1272=53x/10
x=1272×10/53
x=240
the number of Rs 5 coin is 240
and Rs 2 is 240×15/100=36

Answer:

The number of Rs. 5 and Rs. 2 coins is 240 and 36 respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of Rs. 5 coins stands at 240 and the number of Rs. 2 coins exists at 36.

Let the number of coins of Rs. 5 be x.

So, according to the query,

The number of coins of Rs. 2

&=\frac{15}{100} x \\

&=\frac{3}{20} x

Now,

The total value of coins = Rs. 1272

5(x)+2\left(\frac{3}{20} x\right)=1272

So,

This can be written as

5 x+\frac{3}{10} x=1272

Now, on taking 10 as LCM, we carry

&\frac{50 x+3 x}{10}=1272 \\

&53 x=12720 \\

We get,

&x=240

So,

The number of coins of Rs. 2

$=\frac{3}{20}(240)$

$=3 \times 12$

$=36$

Thus, the number of Rs. 5 and Rs. 2 coins is 240 and 36 respectively.
