Answer:

(a) probability of black ball = \dfrac{7}{15}

(b) number of green balls = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of ball = 15

probability of green ball = \dfrac{1}{3}

hence, the number of green ball = total number of ball x probability of green ball

                                                        = 15\times \dfrac{1}{3}

                                                         = 5

probability of yellow ball = \dfrac{1}{5}

so, the number of yellow ball = total number of ball x probability of yellow ball

                                                 = 15\times \dfrac{1}{5}

                                                   = 3

So, the number of black ball = total number of ball - number of green ball - number of yellow ball

                                                = 15 - 5 - 3

                                                 = 7

Hence, the probability of getting black ball =\dfrac{number\ of\ black\ ball}{total\ number\ of\ ball}

                                                                   =\dfrac{7}{15}

Hence, the probability black ball is \dfrac{7}{15} and total number of green ball is 5.
