Given :-

  • A bag contains 1600 rupees in the form of 10 and 20 rupees note.if the ratio between the 10 and 20 rupees note is 2:3.

To find :-

  • The totall number of notes.

Solution :-

Let the number of Rs.10 be 2x and Rs.20 be 3x

  • Total number of rupees contain in bag = Rs.1600

According to question

→ 10 × 2x + 20 × 3x = 1600

→ 20x + 60x = 1600

→ 80x = 1600

→ x = 1600/80

→ x = 20

Hence,

  • Number of Rs.10 notes = 2x = 40

  • Number of Rs.20 notes = 3x = 60

Therefore,

→Total number of notes

→ Number of Rs.10 notes + Number of Rs.20 notes

→ 40 + 60

→ 100

• Total amount of rupees = 1600

• Let the unknown entity to be x , then no. of notes of Rs 10 is 2x and of Rs 20 is 3x .

⠀⠀For Rs 10 notes = 10(2x)

⠀⠀For Rs 20 notes = 20(3x) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

According to the question :

\leadsto \sf 10(2x)\:+\:20(3x)\:=\:1600 \\

\leadsto \sf 20x\:+\:60x\:=\:1600 \\

\leadsto \sf 80x\:=\:1600 \\

\leadsto \sf x\:=\: \dfrac{1600}{80} \\

\leadsto \sf x\:=\:20 \\ \\

No. of notes of :

★ Rs 10 = 2x = 2(20) = 40

★ Rs 20 = 3x = 3(20) = 60

Total no. of notes : 100

⠀⠀⠀=⠀Rs 10 notes + Rs 20 notes

⠀⠀⠀= 40 + 60 = 100
