Step-by-step explanation:

(a)balls in bag=18

red ball=x

not red=18-x

probability of not red=(18-x)/18

(b)

red=x+2

total=20

probably of drawing red=(x+2) /20

hence,

(x+2)/20=9x/144

144x+288=180x

36x=288

x=8

hope this help
