A bag contains 2 red marbles, 9 blue marbles, 18 green marbles, 10 purple marbles and 7 yellow marbles.If you pull out one marble first, replace it inside the bag and pull out a second one,what is the probability of pulling out a blue marble in the second case?

Total number of marbles=2+9+18+10+7=46

The probability of pulling out a red marble in the 1st case= 2/46=1/23

Now that one marble has been pulled out, total number of marbles=45

Then probability of pulling out a purple marble in the 2nd case= 10/45=2/9

So the probability of pulling out a red marble in the first case and not replacing it and pulling out a purple marble in the 2nd case= 1/23 * 2/9
