A bag contains 20 balls numbered 1 to 20. One ball is drawn at random from the bag. What is the probability that the ball drawn is marked with a number which is multiple of 3 or 4 ?​

let the sample spaces of all 20 balls be

s={1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20}

n(s)=20

event- the ball drawn must be a multiple of three or four

A={3,6,9,12,15,18,4,8,16,20}

n(A)=10

probability (P)=n(A)÷n(s)

P=10÷20

P=1÷2

P=0.5

since the probability is 1/2
