A bag contains 20 balls out of which x balls are red .
(1) if one ball is drawn at random from the bag then find the probability that it is not red.
(2) If 4 more red balls are put into the bag then the probability of drawing a red ball will
5/4 times the probability of drawing the red ball in the first case .... also find the value
of x

Total balls = 20
Red balls = x

1. P (not red) = $\frac{20 - x}{x}$

2. Since 4 more red balls are added, total number of balls becomes 24

$\frac{5}{4} * \frac{x}{20} = \frac{x + 4}{24}$

$100x = 80x + 320$

$20x = 320$

$x = 8$
