Total no. of balls =24
x+2x+3x=24
6x=24
x=4
No. of red balls =4
No. of white balls =2×4=8
No. of blue balls =3×4=12
1. No. of balls that are not red=8+12=20
Probability=20/24=5/6
2.Probability=8/24=1/3.
Hope this helps you...

There are x red balls, 2x white balls and 3x blue balls. Total = 6x.
1) Probability ( the ball is not red )
= Probability (the ball is blue or white)
= (2x + 3x) / (6x)
= 5/6
2) Probability (the ball is white)
= 2x / 6x
= 1/3
1) Probability ( the ball is not red )
= Probability (the ball is blue or white)
= (2x + 3x) / (6x)
= 5/6
2) Probability (the ball is white)
= 2x / 6x
= 1/3
