Answer:The fraction of ball is red = \frac{10}{25} or   = \frac{2}{5}

             The fraction of ball is white = \frac{3}{25}

               The fraction of ball is white  = \frac{7}{25}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A bag contains 25 balls out of which 10 are red, 5 are blue, 7 are black and remaining is white.

To find: We have to find-(a) What fraction of ball is red ?

                                        (b) What fraction of ball is white ?

                                        (c) What fraction of ball is black ?

Explanation:

Step 1: Total number balls in the bag = 25

            Number of red ball in the bag = 10

The probability of getting red ball=Number of red ball/total ball

∴           The fraction of ball is red = \frac{10}{25}

or                                                    = \frac{2}{5}

Step 2: Total number of ball in the bag = 25

∵ In the bag 10 are red, 5 are blue, 7 are black and remaining is white

∴             Number of white ball in the bag = 25 - (10+5 +7)

                                                                     = 25 -22

                                                                     = 3

The probability of getting white ball=Number of red ball/total ball

∴           The fraction of ball is white = \frac{3}{25}

Step 3: Total number balls in the bag = 25

         Number of black ball in the bag = 7

The probability of getting black ball=Number of red ball/total ball

∴           The fraction of ball is white  = \frac{7}{25}

Concept: Probability is about estimating or calculating how likely or 'probable' something is to happen. The chance of an event happening can be described in words, for example 'certain', 'impossible' or 'likely'. In math's, probabilities are always written as fractions , decimals or percentages with values between 0 and 1.
