Let the number of one rupee coins in a bag= 5x,  50p coins = 8x and 25 p coins = 4x

Since a bagcotains Rs.300

⇒ (1 × 5x) + (50p × 8x) + (25p × 4x) = 300

⇒ (1 × 5x) + (0.50 × 8x) + (0.25 × 4x) = 300

⇒  5x + 4x + 1x = 300

⇒ 10x = 300

∴ x =  30

Now,  

Number of one rupee coins = 5x = 5 × 30= 150

Number of one 50 coins = 8x = 8 × 30= 240

Number of one 25p coins = 4x = 4 × 30= 120
