The probability of picking up 2 red balls is (6/11)(5/10) = 3/11. The probability of picking up 2 blue balls is (5/11)(4/10) = 2/11.

Therefore the probability of picking up 2 balls of different colors is 1 - 3/11 - 2/11 = 6/11

 \huge{\sf{\underline{\underline{\pink{Solution}}}}}

Given:

  • Red ball = 6
  • Blue ball = 5
  • Green ball = 9

To find:

Probability of getting blue ball.

Formula used:

 \boxed{\sf{\red{Probability = \frac{favourable \: cases}{total \: no. \: of \: cases}}}}

Answer:

Total no. of balls = 20 (5+6+9)

Probability of getting blue ball =  \frac{5}{20}

Hence, the probability of getting blue ball is 1/4.
