Total number of balls= 5red+9 white

=14

Number of white balls=9

Therefore,

P(a \: white \: ball) =  \frac{total \: no \: of \: balls \: }{white \: ball}

 = \frac{14}{9}

P(a \: red \: ball) =  \frac{total \: no \: of \: balls \: }{red \: ball}

 = \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \frac{14}{5}
