probability = number of favourable outcomes / no. of possible outcomes

probability that the ball drawn out is not green = probability that the ball is of other colour (red, white, and black)

hence the probabilty that the ball is not green

= 5+8+7 / 24

= 5/6

and, its a good chance.

AnswEr :

 \\

In the bag,

  • No. of red balls = 5

 \\

  • No. of white balls = 8

 \\

  • No. of green balls = 4

 \\

  • No. of black balls = 7

 \\

Now, let's calculate the total number of balls present in the bag !

 \\

Total no. of balls in the bag :

 \\

\longrightarrow No. of red balls + No. of white balls + No. of green balls + No. of black balls

 \\

\longrightarrow 5 + 8 + 4 + 7

 \\

\longrightarrow 24

 \\

Now,

 \\

  • No. of balls that aren't green = 5 + 8 +7 = 20

 \\

Let's calculate the Probability,

 \\

\longrightarrow\sf \: Probability = \dfrac{No. \: of \: favorable \: outcomes}{Total \: no. \: of \: outcomes} \\ \\ \\

\longrightarrow \sf \: Probability = \dfrac{20}{24 } \\ \\ \\

\longrightarrow \sf \: { \underline{ \boxed{ \frak{ \purple{Probability = \dfrac{5}{6}}}}}} \: \: \bigstar

 \\

Therefore, the Probability that the ball drawn is not green is 5/6.
