A bag contains 6 green balls and some red balls.if the probability of drawing a red ball is half of that of a green ball,then find the number of red balls in the bag

LET THE BAG QUANTITY BE 6 + X

AND PROBABILITY FOR RED BALL 1/3

Now 1/3 × 6/x = 2/x

if quantity is 6 + x and red balls are 2/x

then

6 + x = 2/x

6x + x² = 2 = 3x + x² = 1

quantity 6 + x and 3x + x² are equal

taking 3 + x common

2 + 1 = 3 + x

3 = 3 + x and now since x is 0

now q is 6 and the probabikity is half of that of a green ball

so 6/2 = 3

YOUR ANSWER IS 3 BALLS
