A bag contains 7 blue, 5 red and 12 green balls Find the probability of obtaining a blue ball . If we draw a red ball and do not put it back into the bag ,what is the probability of obtaining a red ball and what is the probability of not obtaining a red ball? For your confusion answer of this question is 7/24,4/23,19/23

probability of obtaining a blue ball =
p(E) =n(E) /n(s)
=total blue balls/total balls
=7/24
total no. of red balls=5
if we draw a red ball then red ball remain=4
and total no. of balls =23
then p(E) =4/23
probability for not obtaining red ball=
19/23

Answer:

=There are 7+5+12=24 balls

=Thus, total number of outcomes is=24

=There are 7 blue balls

=Thus, number of favourable outcomes for drawing a blue balls=7

=So, the probability that a blue ball is drawn=7/24=1/3

=Now, if red ball is drawn and not replaced, then the total number of balls in the box is 7+4+12=23

=Therefore, the probability of the drawing a red ball=4/23

=The probability of not obtaining a red ball=The probability of obtaining blue and green ball

=7/23 , 12/23
