Let us assume that, there are x blue balls in the bag.

so,

 \rightarrow \sf {Total  \: balls \:  in \:  bag = (8 + x)}

Then,

\sf{Prob. \:  of \:  drawing  \: a  \: red \:  ball =  \frac{8}{8 + x}}

and,

 \sf \: {Prob. \:  of  \: drawing \:  a  \: red  \: ball =  \frac{x}{8 + x} }

A/q,

 :  \implies \frac{ \frac{8}{8 + x} }{\frac{x}{8 + x} }  =  \frac{5}{2}

 :  \implies \frac{8}{x}  =  \frac{5}{2}

 :  \implies{x =   \frac{16}{5} }

Therefore,

The probability of drawing a blue ball from the bag = (16/5) / (16/5 + 8)

= (16/5) / (56/5)

= (16/56)

= (2/7)
