let there are N blue balls in the bag ,so total balls in the bag are 8+N

Probability of drawing a red ball = 8/8+N

And Probability of drawing a blue ball will be N/8+N and it is given as N/8+N = 3(8/8+N) solving the above equation for N we’ll get there are 24 blue balls in bag.

Lets just verify it if there are 24 blue and 8 red balls in bag , probability of drawing a red ball is 8/32 =1/4 and probability of drawing a blue ball is 24/32= 3/4 which is three times the probablity of drawing a red ball .
