Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-
- Total coins = 94
- Total money = 29.75 ₹ × 100 = 2975 paise
- Dimensions of notes = 50 & 25 paise
ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-
Number of :-
- 25 paisa coin
- 50 paisa coin
sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-
Let numbers of 25 paisa coins be x and 50 paisa coins be y
then,
According to 1st condition :-
- Total coins = 94
- Number of (25 paisa + 50 paisa) = 94
➭ x + y = 94
➭ x = 94 - y. --(1)
According to 2nd condition :-
- Total money = 2975 paisa
25(No of 25 p coins) + 50(No of 50 p) = 2975
➭ 25×x + 50×y = 2975
➭ 25x + 50y = 2975
➭ 25(x + 2y) = 2975
➭ x + 2y = 119
➭ x = 119 - 2y. --(2)
From (1) and (2) , we get,
➭ 94 - y = 119 - 2y
➭ 2y - y = 119 - 94
➭ y = 25
Put y = 25 in (1) , we get
➭ x = 94 - y
➭ x = 94 - 25
➭ x = 69
Hence,
Number of :-
- 25 paisa coins = x = 69
- 50 paisa coins = y = 25
