Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Total coins = 94
  • Total money = 29.75 ₹ × 100 = 2975 paise
  • Dimensions of notes = 50 & 25 paise

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

Number of :-

  • 25 paisa coin
  • 50 paisa coin

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let numbers of 25 paisa coins be x and 50 paisa coins be y

then,

According to 1st condition :-

  • Total coins = 94
  • Number of (25 paisa + 50 paisa) = 94

x + y = 94

x = 94 - y. --(1)

According to 2nd condition :-

  • Total money = 2975 paisa

25(No of 25 p coins) + 50(No of 50 p) = 2975

25×x + 50×y = 2975

25x + 50y = 2975

25(x + 2y) = 2975

x + 2y = 119

x = 119 - 2y. --(2)

From (1) and (2) , we get,

94 - y = 119 - 2y

2y - y = 119 - 94

y = 25

Put y = 25 in (1) , we get

x = 94 - y

x = 94 - 25

x = 69

Hence,

Number of :-

  • 25 paisa coins = x = 69
  • 50 paisa coins = y = 25
