a bag contains of 24 balls of which some are red and rest are white the probability of drawing a red ball is 5 times that of drawing a white ball find the number of red balls and white balls in a bag

 Probability \: of \: getting \: white \:ball = \frac{x}{24}

 Probability \: of \: getting \: red\:ball = \frac{24-x}{24}

 \implies 24 - x = 5x

 \implies 24 = 6x

\implies \frac{24}{6} = x

 \implies x = 4
