Answer:

The number of 50 paise coins is 160.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no of 1 rupee coins, 50 paise coins and 25 paise coins in the ratio 3:4:5 be 3x, 4x and 5x respectively.

₹ 250 = 25,000 paise

Value of 100p coins = 300x

Value of 50 p coins = 200x

Value of 25 p coins = 125x

By condition,

300x + 200x + 125x = 25,000

625x = 25,000 => x = 25,000 / 625 = 40

No of 50 paise coins = 4x = 4×40 = 160 (answer).
