Answer:

Given :-

  • A bag contains Red, Green and Yellow balls.

  • A ball is taken at random from the bag.

  • The probability that it is Red is 0.35.
  • the probability that it is Green is 0.4

To Find :-

  • Find the probability that ball selected is: i) Yellow ii) Not Red

Solution :-

(I) p(red)+p(yellow)+p(green)=1.

0.35+p(yellow)+0.4=1

0.39+p(yellow)=1

p(yellow)=1-0.39

p(yellow)=0.61

(2) p(red)+p(not red) =1.

0.35+p(not red) =1

p(not red) =1-0.35

p(not red) =0.65
