Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Total amount of rupees is Rs 375.
  • Types of coins are 1 rupee , 50 paise , 20 paise.
  • Ratio of coins 2 : 5 : 7

To Find:

  • What is the number of each type of coins ?

Solution: Let x be the common in given ratios. Therefore,

➙ 1 rupee coins = 2x

➙ 50 paise coins = 5x

➙ 20 paise coins = 7x

A/q

  • Sum is 375

\implies{\rm } 2x(100) + 5x(50) + 7x(20) = 375(100)

\implies{\rm } 200x + 250x + 140x = 37500

\implies{\rm } 590x = 37500

\implies{\rm } x = 37500/590

\implies{\rm } x = 63.56

So, Number of coins are

➯ 1 rupee = 2x = 2(63.56) = 127.12

➯ 50 paise = 5x = 5(63.56) = 317.80

➯ 20 paise = 7x = 7(63.56) = 444.92

Given :-

  • Total amount = Rs 375

  • The ratio of 1 Rupees , 50 paise and 20 paise ratio = 2:5:7

To FinD :-

  • what are the number of each coin ?

Solution :-

The ratio of 1 Rupees , 50 paise and 20 paise ratio is 2:5:7

So ,

Number of 1 Rupees coins = 2x

  • So the total amount of 1 Rupees coin = (2x) × 1
  • = 2x Rupees

Number of 50 paise coin = 5x

  • So the total amount of 50 Paise coin = 50 × 5x
  • = 250x Paise
  • = 250x/100 Rupees
  • = 2.5x Rupees

Number of 20 paise coin = 7x

  • So the total amount of 20 paise coin = 20 × 7x
  • = 140x Paise
  • = 140x/100 Rupees
  • = 1.4x Rupees

Total amount of coins = Total amount

2x + 2.5x + 1.4x = 375

5.9x = 375

x = 375/5.9

\boxed{x = 63.56 }
