Solution :

The given proportion is 1 : 3 : 5 : 7

Let, x be the common multiple

Then, number of

• 1 rupee coins = x
• 50 paise coins = 3x
• 25 paise coins = 5x
• 10 paise coins = 7x

By the given condition,

(100 × x) + (50 × 3x) + (25 × 5x) + (10 × 7x) = 22.25 × 100

or, 100x + 150x + 125x + 70x = 2225

or, 445x = 2225

or, x = 5

Therefore, the number of

• 1 rupee coins = 5
• 50 paise coins = 15
• 25 paise coins = 25
• 10 paise coins = 35
