Step-by-step explanation:

Let the common number be = m

Then 5 = 5m

8 = 8m

4 = 4m

=> (1 × 5m) + (50p × 8m) + (25p × 4m) = 300

=> (1 × 5m) + (0.50 × 8m) + (0.25 × 4m) =300

=> 5m + 4m + 1m = 300

=> 10m = 300

=> m = 300/10

=> m = 30,,

So, no of 1 rupee coins => 5m = 5×30 = 150.

no of 50 paise coins => 8m = 8 × 30 = 240.

no of 25 paise coins => 4m = 4 × 30 = 120.

1 × 150 = 150 rupees

0.50 × 240 = 120 rupees

0.25 × 120 = 30 rupees

150 + 120 + 30 = 300 rupees

Therefore, there are 150 no of 1 rupee coins, 240 no of 50 paise coins and 120 no of 25 paise coins.
