Answer:

There are total 100 slips it contains 50 odd and 50 even the probability of even is 50 /100 it is nothing but 1/2. as usual same odd is 50/100 it's nothing but 1/2 . So the probability for both is 1/2.

AS THERE ARE ONLY 100 STRIPS AND NUMBERS STARTING FROM 1 TO 100 ON IT, THERE WILL BE 50 SLIPS OF ODD WHEREAS 50 SLIPS OF EVEN NUMBERS.

So the probability of even and odd are as follows :

P ( of getting odd number ) = 50 / 100

= 1 / 2

P ( of getting even number ) = 50 / 100

= 1 / 2

IF U OBSERVE IN BOTH CASES , THE PROBABILITY OF GETTING AN ODD SLIP NUMBER OR EVEN SLIP NUMBER IS SAME I.E., 1 / 2

Therefore probability of getting an odd or even slip is 1 / 2

Therefore, hence proved
