Given :

Percentage of blue balls = 45%

Percentage of yellow balls = 30 %

To find:

Probability of not getting a red ball.

Solution:

We know that,

Here, it  is given that 45 % of balls are blue and 30 % of balls are yellow.

Probability of getting a blue ball = 45 ÷ 100 = 9/20

Probability of getting a yellow ball = 30 ÷ 100 = 3/10

Probability of not getting a red ball = ( Probability of getting a blue ball + probability of getting a yellow ball )

= ( 9/20 + 3/10 )

= 3/4

3/4 is the probability of not getting a red ball.
