yes if a bag has 4 red balls and x blue balls and if the probability of blue ball is 1/2 . so blue balls = 4 and total balls 8 so if he takes one ball out the chances of a blue ball is 1/2

P (getting a red ball) = 4/x = 1/2 (x= total no. of balls in the bag)

now no. of blue balls = 8-4
