there is a formula ,

red marble = 0.57

yellow marble =0.07

probability in total=0.64

1-0.64= 0.36

so, the probability of getting neither red nor yellow =0.36

Given:

Red marbles = 4

Yellow marbles = 8

To Find:

Probability of

a) picking a yellow marble.

b) picking a red marble.

c) picking a blue marble.

Formula:

Since we have 4 red marbles and 8 yellow marbles, to find the probability we have to divide the number of marbles in the question asked and the total number of marbles.

Solution:

a) Probability of picking a yellow marble:

No. of yellow marbles = 8

Total no. of marbles = 12

Let's find the probability:

8/12

4/6

2/3

b) Probability of picking a red marble:

No. of red marbles = 4

Total no. of marbles = 12

Let's find the probability:

4/12

2/6

1/3

c) Probability of picking a blue marble:

No. of blue marbles = 0

Total no. of marbles = 12

Let's find the probability:

0/12

Hence,

Probability of picking a yellow marble is 2/3

Probability of picking a red marble is 1/3

Probability of picking a blue marble is 0/12
