Step-by-step explanation:

Bag 1 = 1, 3 , 5 and 7

Bag 2 = 2, 4 , 6

For sum is 9= (3,6)(5,4)(7,2)

So required probability =

( \frac{1}{4}  \times \frac{1}{3})  +   (\frac{1}{4}  \times  \frac{1}{3})  +  (\frac{1}{4} \times  \frac{1}{3} ) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{12}  +  \frac{1}{12}  +  \frac{1}{12}  \\  \\ =   \frac{1}{4}

  • Note probability of getting any number from bag 1 is. ( 1/4)

  • probability of getting any number from bag 2 is. ( 1/3)
