A bag of flour has a weight of 12 1/2 kg. Two fifth of it was lost through a hole in the side. How much of it was left in the bag? Please tell the method to find the answer

initial weight=12\frac{1}{2} kg

lost weight=\frac{2}{5} kg

amount left in bag= 12\frac{1}{2} kg - \frac{2}{5} kg =(12*2+1)/2 - 2/5 = 25/2 - 2/5

                                                                                  = (125 - 4)/10

                                                                                  = 121/10 = 12.1 kg
