Given,

P.E.= 10 J

Mass= 50 g=0.05 kg

And g=-9.8 m/s^2

We know,

P.E.=mgh

=>10=0.05×(-9.8)×h

=>h=10/(0.05×-9.8)=10/-0.49=-20.408 m

Therefore height = 20.408 m


And if we take g=-10 m/s^2 then,

10=0.05×(-10)×h

=>h=10/(0.05×-10)=10/(-0.5)=-20 m

Therefore height = 20 m
