The number of cookies that he could have baked is 169.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • A baker baked some cookies .
  • He tried to pack them in boxes of 6,8 or 12 cookies each but ever time one cookie was left.
  • He packed 13 cookies in a box, nothing was left.

The number of cookies is the multiple of 13 and the cookies has one more than the multiple of 6,8 or 12.

 \rightarrow \: 28 \times 6 + 1 = 169 \\ \rightarrow \:21 \times 8 + 1 = 169 \\ \rightarrow \:14 \times 12 + 1 = 169 \\ \rightarrow \:13 \times 13 = 169

The number of cookies that he could have baked is 169.
