A baker earns a profit of $4 on selling a pack of white bread and incurs a loss of $6 on selling a pack of brown bread.

On Monday, she incurred an overall loss of $100. If she had sold 26 packs of white bread, how many packs of brown bread did she sell?

profit on one white bread =4

profit on 26 packs of white bread

= 26×4 = 104

loss on one brown bread = 6

loss on x brown breads = 6x

overall loss =100

104-6x = -100

6x =204

x = 34

no. of brown bread packs sold =34
