Answer:

4 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

since the scale is balanced, we can make an equation

weight of flour bag = weight of rice bag + 1kg

let weight of bag of flour in kg = 2x

therefore, weight of bag of rice= 2x/2 = x (given that  The bag of rice is half the weight of the bag of flour)

putting the variables in place of our word equation,

=> 2x = x+1

= x = 1

weight of rice bag = 1kg

therefore, weight of 1 flour bag = 2*1= 2kg

so, weight of 2 such flour bags = 2*2 = 4kg

Answer:

4kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the scale is balanced it can be put that

Left=Right

x+1kg=2x

2x-x=1

x=1

Therefore the weight of one bag of flour = 2*1= 2kg

so, weight of 2 such flour bags = 2*2 = 4kg
