A ball A moving in +xdirection with velocity 20 ms-l undergoes elastic collision with
a ball B moving in -x direction with velocity 10 ms". The mass of ball A is 1 kg and
tbat of ball B is 2 kg. Mentioning basic laws applicable, calculate the velocities of ball
A and B after collision.

Answer:

final velocity of A = (M1 - M2/M1+M2)*initial velocity of A

so, vel. of A = (1-2/1+2)*20 = -20/3 m/s

vel. of B = (2M1/M1+M2)*initial velocity of B

so,vel. of B = (2*1/2+1)*(-10)= -20/3 m/s
