a ball dropped into a pond from a height of 4.41 m the splash of sound is heard 3.13 s after the ball is dropped determined the velocity of sound?​

Time taken by stone to fall
T = sqrt(2H/g)
= sqrt(2 * 4.41 / 9.8)
= 0.94 seconds

Time taken by sound to travel = 3.13 - 0.94= 2.19 seconds

Velocity of sound = Distance / Time
= 4.41 / 2.19
= 2.01 m/s
