As there is a Formula,

=> S = ut+1/2 gt^2

=> 30 = 0 + 1/2 x 9.8 x t^2

=> 30 = 4.9 x t^2

=> 30/4.9 = t^2

=> t^2 = 6.1

 =  > t \:  \:  =  \sqrt{6.1}

 =  > t \:  \:  = 2.4 \: \:   s \:
