Explanation:

Intial Velocity of ball = 5m/s

Final velocity = -5m/s (negative sign shows velocity is in opposite direction lf initial direction).

Therefore,

Force = change in momentum per unit time = dP/dt

= mass of body(5-(-5))/2 = 10m/2 = 5m Newton

Where, m is the mass of body.
