a ball hits a wall at 6.0m/s.It rebound at 4.4m/s.the ball is in contact with wall for 0.040s. what is acceleration of the ball?

Given,
u(initial velocity)=6m/s
v(final velocity)=4.4m/s
time(t)=0.040seconds
Thus acceleration of the ball=(v-u)/t
=(4.4-6)/0.040
=-1.6/0.040
=-1.6*1000/0.040*1000
=-160/40
=-4m/s^2
