m/s rebounds horizontally at 4.4 m/s. The ball is in contact
the wall for 0.040 s. What is the acceleration of the ball ?

  • initial velocity =6.0m/s-¹
  • final velocity =4.4m/s-¹(forward direction)

-4.4m/s-¹(backwards direction)

time =0.040 s
