A ball is allowed to fall from hieght of 10m . If there is 40% loss of energy due to compact. Upto what height the ball will rise after one impact

Total energy at the height of 10m = mgh
Now, 40% of mgh is lost. That is 60% is left
Mass and Acceleration due to gravity do not change therefore the change occurs in height.
Therefore the new height will be 60% of the initial height that is 10m.
H=60/100×10 = 6m
