A ball is allowed to roll down from an inclined plane.it reaches the foot of the plane and continue to roll on the ground.it stops after travelling some distance.is this violation of law of inertia?give reason

it stops due to friction by newton law of motion if no external force acts on it then it remain in rest or uniform motion

No,this is not violating the law because the law says that unless an untill a external force act on it it does not stop .At before it was not stopping because the surface was smooth and after reaching ground ,the surface becomes rough and the rough surface act as a force and the ball stop
